How your purchase is protected, and how to make a claim.
Your Consumer Guarantees
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. These apply in addition to any manufacturer or installation warranty, and regardless of whether a warranty period has ended.
If a product has a major failure you are entitled to choose a refund or a replacement. For other failures you are entitled to have the problem fixed within a reasonable time.
Manufacturer Warranties
Products are covered by the manufacturer's warranty where one is provided. The length and terms differ between manufacturers and product types, and are set out in the documentation supplied with the product.
If you would like the warranty terms for a specific product before you buy, contact us and we will send them to you.
Installation Warranty
Where Eco Planet Solar carries out the installation, the workmanship warranty and its length are confirmed in writing with your quote.
It covers the installation work itself. Faults in the equipment are handled under the manufacturer's warranty and your consumer guarantees.
How to Make a Warranty Claim
1. Contact us using the form on our Contact page, or by email 2. Include your name, order number and a description of the problem — photos help 3. We will assess the claim and let you know the next step, including working with the manufacturer where their warranty applies
What Warranties Usually Exclude
Manufacturer and installation warranties generally do not cover damage from misuse, accidents, severe weather, or changes made to the system by someone else, or normal wear and tear. The exact exclusions are in each warranty document.
These exclusions do not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
